Our workshop combines technical expertise with precision engineering – from the initial concept to the finished product. We provide comprehensive support throughout every stage of a project, delivering efficient, sustainable, and tailored solutions.
Planning & Visualization
Careful planning is the foundation of every successful project. Following an initial consultation, we develop detailed concepts and produce 3D visualizations and CAD models that accurately represent all relevant dimensions and functional requirements. For complex processes, we can also create animations to illustrate workflows and facilitate communication.
Tool Sharpening Service
We restore cutting tools to peak performance. Knives, scissors, hoes, and drill bits are professionally sharpened and precision polished. Using specialised sharpening techniques – such as split-point grinding for drill bits – we improve not only sharpness but also durability and drilling accuracy. Individual adjustments to suit specific materials and applications are, of course, available.
Current Service Fees for Tool Sharpening
Scissors: €3 per item
Knives with a blade length up to 10 cm: €4 per item
Knives with a blade length over 10 cm and hatchets: €5 per item
Drill bits (3–6 mm): €3
Drill bits (6–12 mm): €4
Drill bits (12–22 mm): €5

Ultrasonic Cleaning
For delicate items and components with intricate or hard-to-reach structures, we offer gentle cleaning using ultrasonic technology. Even the finest contaminants are removed efficiently without damaging surfaces. This process helps extend the service life of components while reducing long-term costs. Combined with the use of an environmentally friendly universal cleaning agent suitable for metals, glass, and plastics, it also supports sustainable laboratory practices.
The workshop currently charges a service fee of €7 per cleaning cycle to cover the cost of the cleaning agent.

Service Fees & Project Execution
As the operation and maintenance of our equipment involve ongoing costs for servicing and consumable parts that cannot be fully covered by the Faculty, a service fee is charged. The fee depends on the equipment required and the time needed to complete the project. Estimated costs are calculated and discussed with you during the project planning phase.
Projects are carried out in the order in which requests are received. Please note, however, that urgent cases may occasionally need to be prioritised, which can affect the processing order. Should this occur, we will always consult with you in advance. Once your project has been approved, you can follow its progress via our Google Calendar, which indicates the project currently being processed.
